NYC best view

... Read moreOne of my favorite spots for capturing stunning views of New York City is the Roosevelt Island Tramway. It offers a unique aerial perspective of the Manhattan skyline that you simply can’t get anywhere else. Riding the tram not only transports you between Manhattan and Roosevelt Island but also gives you a fantastic photo opportunity almost the entire way across the East River. From my experience, the best time to visit is either early in the morning or during sunset. Morning trips provide clear skies and softer light, perfect for crisp skyline shots, while sunset offers warm tones that make the cityscape glow beautifully. Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone with a good zoom lens to capture details from the windows. Once on Roosevelt Island, you can stroll along the waterfront promenade to get different angles of the iconic skyscrapers and bridges. The tram ride plus the walk makes for a refreshing and scenic outing away from the hustle and bustle, yet you remain firmly connected to the city vibe. If you are looking for a quieter alternative to crowded observation decks like the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock, this tram experience is a hidden gem. It’s also budget-friendly, as the fare is comparable to a standard subway ride. Overall, the Roosevelt Island Tramway is more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a gateway to some of the best panoramic views of New York City that locals and tourists alike cherish. I highly recommend adding it to your NYC itinerary, especially if you enjoy exploring unique perspectives and capturing memorable photos.
