Back workout by Shannah Female Fat Loss Coach
This is not my video, I'm just sharing a Tiktok for a workout that I want to try. @shannahortega
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share a workout routine I stumbled upon that's specifically designed to help us achieve that coveted toned back – you know, the kind that looks amazing in an open-back top or just makes you feel stronger and more confident! I found this "Day 4: Back Attack" from Shannah Ortega, and it looks super effective, plus it can be done right at home, which is perfect for my busy schedule. Getting a toned back isn't just about aesthetics; it's crucial for good posture, reducing shoulder and neck pain, and building overall upper body strength. Often, women tend to focus more on front-facing exercises, but strengthening your back is key to a balanced physique. This 4-week challenge looks like a fantastic way to target those muscles. Let's break down the exercises from this "Back Attack" routine. Remember, proper form is always more important than how many reps you do! Reverse Grip Back Row (4 sets of 12 reps): This exercise is fantastic for targeting your lats (the large muscles on your back) and biceps. If you're at home without weights, you can use resistance bands anchored to a sturdy object or even perform bodyweight rows under a sturdy table. The key is to pull your shoulder blades together and squeeze your back muscles at the top of the movement, keeping your elbows close to your body. Think about pulling with your back, not just your arms. Rear Delt Pulls (4 sets of 12 reps): These are brilliant for isolating your rear deltoids, which are often underdeveloped. Strong rear delts contribute significantly to that 'toned' look and improve shoulder health. At home, you can use light dumbbells or resistance bands. Stand with a slight bend in your knees, hinge at your hips, and extend your arms out to the sides, squeezing your shoulder blades. Keep your back straight throughout. Supermans (4 sets of 1 minute): Supermans are a classic bodyweight exercise that strengthens your entire posterior chain, including your lower back, glutes, and hamstrings. Lie face down on the floor, extend your arms and legs. Then, simultaneously lift your arms, chest, and legs off the floor, squeezing your glutes and lower back muscles. Hold for a moment, then slowly lower. This is excellent for core stability and spinal health. Speed Rows (4 sets of 1 minute): This sounds like a high-intensity variation! While the OCR just says "Speed rows," for an at-home context, this could involve continuous, controlled resistance band rows or even rapid bodyweight rows if you have a stable setup. The focus here is likely on muscular endurance and elevating your heart rate, contributing to overall fat loss that helps reveal muscle definition. Make sure to maintain good form despite the speed. Reverse Fly (4 sets of 12 reps): Similar to rear delt pulls, the reverse fly also targets the rear deltoids and upper back muscles. If you have light dumbbells, you can perform these standing or bent over. If not, resistance bands are your best friend here! Focus on a controlled movement, feeling the squeeze between your shoulder blades. Avoid shrugging your shoulders. To truly transform your body in 4 weeks, consistency is key. Try to incorporate back workouts like this one 1-2 times a week, ensuring you give your muscles adequate rest to recover and grow. Pair this with a balanced diet rich in protein to support muscle repair and growth, and don't forget to stay hydrated! I'm definitely planning to integrate this "Day 4: back attack" into my weekly routine. I'm excited to see the changes and feel stronger. Who's with me on this journey to a more toned and powerful back? Let's get those lats and rear delts burning!
