• You're Beautiful •
Rumi wrote, "The beauty you see in me is a reflection of you." I believe that's true—but so is its opposite.
What we notice most in others often reveals something within ourselves. Kindness recognizes kindness. Compassion recognizes compassion. A healed heart sees hope where others see flaws.
The same is true of pain. Judgment often reflects unresolved wounds. Anger can recognize anger. The qualities we admire—or reject—in someone else can become a mirror, inviting us to look inward.
Perhaps life isn't only about changing what we see in others, but becoming aware of the lens through which we're looking.
May we choose to cultivate beauty within ourselves, because the more love, grace, humility, and peace we carry, the more naturally we'll begin to see those things reflected in the world around us.
