... Read moreWhen visiting Buckingham Palace, there's so much more to experience beyond just admiring its iconic facade. One favorite activity is watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony, a captivating display of tradition that really brings the royal history to life. I found arriving early gave the best spots to see the guards in full regalia. Inside, the State Rooms offer a glimpse into regal life with their stunning gilded interiors and impressive art collections. Booking a guided tour helped me appreciate the rich stories behind each room and piece of decoration. Outside, the palace grounds and nearby Victoria Memorial provide perfect photo opportunities, and strolling along The Mall gives you a classic London experience with views steeped in grandeur. If you time your visit during summer, the palace gardens are sometimes open for public tours, a peaceful retreat filled with beautifully maintained landscapes and floral displays. Nearby, you can also explore the Royal Mews to see the historic carriages and horses used in royal events. For those interested in souvenirs, the official gift shop offers unique items commemorating the palace and British royalty. Overall, Buckingham Palace blends rich history with vibrant ceremonies and picturesque surroundings, making it a highlight for any traveler exploring London’s royal heritage.

My first time in Green Park, Buckingham Palace
As silly as this is going to sound but I used to think one of the parks near Buckingham Palace was Hyde Park. I’ve been to St James Park many times but it’s only after moving to London I found the park opposite it is called Green Park. There’s always something new to learn in London #dayinmylife
