If You Grew Up Raising Yourself… This Is for You.

This one is personal…

and honestly, it took me years to be able to share it without shaking.

The mother wound shaped so much of who I became…

not because I was broken,

but because I had to grow up in ways no child should ever have to.

For decades, I thought my strength was just “who I was.”

The quiet one.

The strong one.

The one who didn’t need anything.

The one who held everything together while falling apart inside.

But the truth?

That wasn’t personality.

That was survival.

And when I finally began healing…

when I started doing the deep, messy work…

when I met the parts of myself I had abandoned just to get through life…

everything changed.

I share my story for ONE reason:

✨ So you know you’re not alone.

✨ So you know your patterns made sense.

✨ So you know healing is possible, even for the deepest wounds.

Your childhood may have shaped you…

but it does not get the final say in who you become.

If something in this carousel tugged at your heart.....

if you felt seen in a way you didn’t have words for.....

I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing.

... Read moreThe experience of raising oneself due to parental absence or emotional unavailability is deeply challenging and often leaves lasting emotional scars. This is commonly referred to as the "mother wound," a term describing the pain and unmet needs resulting from a mother's inability to provide consistent love, safety, and emotional support. Many who grew up in such circumstances carry a quiet ache—feeling unseen, unheard, and compelled to stay small to survive the chaos around them. Living through physical, emotional, or mental abuse, or neglect, children often develop survival mechanisms that look like strength but are actually coping strategies to protect their vulnerable inner child. Being "the strong one" or the "responsible one" often means burying feelings of abandonment and learning to parent oneself prematurely. Over time, these patterns can lead to over-giving, silence in the face of needs, and guilt for seeking support. Healing the mother wound involves a courageous and messy journey of inner child healing and nervous system regulation. It requires acknowledging the pain of the past, re-experiencing unmet needs in safe ways, and developing self-compassion. Through this process, individuals learn that they are not broken or alone. They can become the nurturing presence their younger selves never had, breaking the cycle of generational trauma. This transformation is deeply empowering, allowing people to reclaim their worth and establish healthy emotional boundaries. It also fosters healthier relationships with themselves and others, including their own children if they choose to have them. Healing does not mean erasing the past but making peace with it and choosing a different path grounded in self-love and emotional safety. If you recognize yourself in this story, know that your journey is valid. Seeking support—from therapists, support groups, or healing courses—can help you navigate the complexities of your healing journey. You deserve a life where your next chapter feels different: softer, safer, and more whole. Remember, healing from the mother wound is possible, and reaching out is a brave first step toward the change you deserve.
