Maybe you spent years believing you were too much.
Too emotional.
Too sensitive.
Too needy.
But sometimes the truth is much simpler.
You were carrying responsibilities that never belonged to you.
Other people's emotions.
Other people's expectations.
Other people's healing.
Healing isn't becoming someone new.
It's finally putting down what was never yours to carry. 🌻

Many people don’t realize that the heaviness they feel emotionally isn’t always from their own experiences but rather from carrying the weight of others' feelings and burdens. I used to believe I was 'too much'—too emotional, too sensitive, or too needy—until I discovered that what I was really struggling with was carrying responsibilities that were never mine. This meant internalizing other people’s emotions, trying to meet unrealistic expectations, and even attempting to heal wounds that belonged to others. What truly helped me was learning to identify those burdens and giving myself permission to let them go. Healing isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about recognizing what isn’t yours to bear and releasing it. This process can be freeing and enables you to focus on your own growth and well-being. From a personal perspective, putting down these heavy emotional loads can be challenging, especially if you’re used to being the caretaker or the problem solver. But when you start to set healthy boundaries and focus on your own emotional wellness, you begin to heal from within. Practices like mindfulness, journaling, and seeking support from a life coach or therapist can guide you in this journey. Remember, you weren’t difficult to love—you were just carrying too much. Letting go can feel like a breath of fresh air, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and find peace. If this resonates with you, take small steps each day to release what you’re not responsible for, and watch your healing journey unfold naturally.
