My favorite summer breakfast

This morning I made one of my favorite breakfasts for the summer.

Peanut butter toast with bananas, honey, and cinnamon 🍌🍯🥜 + some cantaloup

I need to eat in order to take my medicine in the morning to avoid nausea and pairing fruit with some toast is always my first choice. Also, if I could put cinnamon on everything, I would.

I have half a watermelon in the fridge that needs to be cut up, so I decided to finish off my cantaloup in order to use the container it’s in for the watermelon. And I have a hard time drinking water throughout the day so melons always feel so hydrating when I eat them 🤣😅

If you have any other breakfast ideas let me know, I get bored really easily eating the same thing!

... Read moreSummer breakfasts call for light, flavorful, and hydrating options that help start your day energized and refreshed. Peanut butter toast with banana, honey, and cinnamon is a nutrient-dense choice combining healthy fats, natural sweetness, and antioxidants. Peanut butter provides protein and healthy fats essential for sustained energy, while bananas supply potassium and natural sugars for quick vitality. Honey adds subtle sweetness and antimicrobial benefits, and cinnamon enhances flavor and may help regulate blood sugar. Incorporating seasonal fruits like cantaloupe and watermelon contributes hydration, vitamins A and C, and dietary fiber, aiding digestion and skin health. Melons have high water content, ideal for combating dry summer heat. They also provide electrolytes that support hydration balance, especially helpful if water intake is low. For those needing to medicate with food, pairing fruit with toast can minimize nausea and offer a gentle, inviting meal. To diversify summer breakfasts, try adding Greek yogurt with berries, avocado toast with tomato slices, or overnight oats with chia seeds and fresh fruit. Varying ingredients helps maintain excitement and provides a broad spectrum of nutrients. Exploring breakfast options that balance hydration, flavor, and nutrition supports overall health and complements summer activities. Adding cinnamon not only improves taste but also may offer anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a versatile addition to many dishes. Ultimately, combining taste, health, and hydration ensures your breakfast fuels you well for the day ahead, especially during warm months when staying replenished is key.
