Today was day 1 of 75 of my second time doing this mental toughness challenge. The first time I completed it I was focused more on the physical aspects of it- this time I’m focusing on making changes towards having inner peace, feeling better, and having more energy.
I’m starting my days waking up before 6 am ideally 5:30!
Focusing on eating meals that are satiating with lots of balance and not restricting
No alcohol
Reading books that are going to help me grow
And moving in ways that honor my body
I’m not going to be
No more coffee and drinking as much water as possible!
Hope you decide to join my journey :)

For those of you wondering what this whole "75 Hard" thing is about, let me break down the core rules that I'm committing to, which really set the foundation for Day 1 and beyond.
The program, developed by Andy Frisella, is designed to build mental fortitude and improve various aspects of your life over 75 consecutive days. Here's what it entails, and what I literally check off my list every single day:
Follow a Diet: This is non-negotiable. You choose a diet that works for you and stick to it without any cheat meals. For me, it's about balanced, satiating meals – think delicious avocado toast with a fried egg for breakfast, ensuring I feel full and nourished. No restricting for me this time, just smart choices.
Two 45-Minute Workouts: Yes, two! And here's the kicker: one of them must be outdoors, regardless of the weather. This is where the mental toughness really kicks in. Whether it's a brisk walk by a pond or a sweaty gym session in my workout clothes, both 45-minute sessions are crucial.
Drink a Gallon of Water: This might sound simple, but a gallon of water (that’s 128 ounces!) is a lot. I've found that keeping a large bottle handy and sipping throughout the day, starting right after my 5:53 AM wake-up, makes it much more manageable. Hydration is key for energy!
Read 10 Pages of Non-Fiction: Every single day, I dedicate time to read 10 pages from a self-improvement or business book. Currently, I'm diving into "THE REAL GLOW UP," and it's amazing how much perspective you gain. I usually split it – 5 pages in the morning and 5 before bed.
Take a Progress Picture: This daily visual reminder keeps you accountable and helps you see the changes, both big and small, over the 75 days. It's a powerful tool for staying motivated.
No Alcohol: This is a strict rule. For 75 days, alcohol is off-limits. It's a reset for your body and mind, and I can already feel the difference in my clarity and energy.
Completing Day 1 felt like a huge win, not just because I followed the rules, but because I started with a clear intention beyond just physical transformation. My earlier attempts focused heavily on weight loss, but this time, as I mentioned in my initial post, it's truly about cultivating inner peace, boosting my energy levels naturally, and really listening to my body's needs. It's about building consistent habits that will serve me long after the 75 days are over.
If you're curious about a "75 challenge" and are looking for a way to push your mental and physical limits, 75 Hard is an incredible experience. There are variations like "75 Medium" for those who want a slightly modified approach, but the core principles of consistency and discipline remain. I hope my journey inspires you to consider what kind of "glow up" you want for yourself – whether it's mental, physical, or both!
