Synopsis: A New Garden

Crawling through the corpse of a world the creators left behind, beings survive deep below the ground in a post human age. Unable to ask or seek revenge on their predecessors, animal-human hybrids, translucent warriors and Old world machines take refuge in maintenance tunnels and train cars.

Humanity kept building one civilization after another leaving the Depths below. Now that the bleeding sky is sinking into the earth, the remaining inhabitants must go deeper into the darker parts of human history. Dark rituals power the very lights they cling to, forcing the children of mankind to rely on the very darkness that killed their parents.

Pike, an Azaz Raider and head gardener of his village, finds himself having to rebuild in their new home after an earthquake. Have Pike and his people found a small paradise or did the Depths betray them once again? Not all humanities children were peaceful.

... Read moreIn 'A New Garden', the narrative delves into a post-apocalyptic realm where human-animal hybrids navigate a world filled with remnants of human history. As they grapple with their existence, the characters face chilling challenges that draw upon dark rituals and the haunting history of their predecessors. This novella is not just a tale of survival; it poses profound questions about identity and legacy. Readers interested in the intersections of horror and science fiction will appreciate how the author intertwines elements of the occult and existential dread. As Pike, the head gardener of his village, attempts to cultivate a new paradise amidst chaos, we witness the struggles of a community attempting to thrive in a world that constantly seeks to betray them. With elements of horror woven into the sci-fi setting, expect tension and thought-provoking themes that will linger with you long after the last page. This story is perfect for fans of indie authors looking for fresh narratives in the genre, and it echoes the cultural fascination with apocalyptic stories in today's media landscape. 🔬Sci-fi horror and parasitic horror overlap, but they don’t feel the same to me. 🔬SCI-FI HORROR is usually about the unknown — aliens, experiments, or something we don’t fully understand yet. 🔬The fear comes from not knowing what it is or how it works. 👾PARASITIC HORROR takes it further.
