What are your hair care tips for oily hair?

#letschat My hair gets oily really quick. I have tried so many shampoos but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I try to only wash it every other day. I have a silk pillowcase and I don’t use any product in my hair. I need all the tips and tricks to help my hair go longer than two days before I have to wash it. I just can’t stand when it looks so oily. #lemon8challenge

Start with choosing the right shampoo; look for clarifying or volumizing shampoos that specifically target oil control. Additionally, avoid heavy conditioners or apply them only to the ends of your hair. Try incorporating dry shampoo into your routine to absorb excess oil without needing to wash your hair every day. Limiting the use of hair products that can weigh your hair down is also crucial. Opt for a silk pillowcase, as you've done, to reduce friction while sleeping. Regularly rinsing your hair with cool water can help balance oil production, as hot water may stimulate oil glands. Lastly, a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants can promote healthier hair and scalp, ultimately reducing oiliness. Implement these strategies to enjoy a cleaner and fresher hair look for longer spans.

I don’t wash my hair everyday either. What has helped me the most is using dry shampoo every day it really does help keeping the oil under control and it provides volume to your hair
