How I lost weight and kept my 🍑

𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐫! I am no personal trainer nor a nutritionist.

Here are some breakfast meals and quick tips on how I lost 47lbs and grew a rounder dump truck 🍑😛⬇️⬇️⬇️

1. Genetics🧬: Yes, genetics do play a significant role in shaping your body, but that doesn't mean you can't make impressive changes. While it might not be possible to go from one stage to a dramatic transformation overnight, with consistent strength training and the right nutrition, you'll see significant improvements over time!

2. Cardio + strength training 👟: Wear comfy shoes!! Finding the right pair of shoes for cardio made a difference in longevity and mobility. I included jump roping/ HIIT, and running in my daily routine. Once I became comfortable I did walking/jogging and running intervals until I was able to jog/run a mile in under 15 minutes. I aimed to burn at least 300 - 500+ cals per cardio session. I worked legs twice a week and combined compound and isolated workouts for push & pull days. You can find isolated glute and hamstrings exercises with a quick google search.

3. Calorie Deficit ⚖️: I began seeing results almost immediately especially in my stomach and thighs once I increased my cardio and reduce my caloric intake. Please do some research before changing your diet, you should ease into it. To lose weight I started burning more calories than I was eating.

4. Consistency📈: There were days I lost motivation which is okay! It took me about a year to create a solid workout routine that actually showed results. I stayed consistent by creating a bomb music playlist, and keeping track of my gains/loses in my notes📝. If those aren’t enough try getting a personal trainer or accountability partner!

5. Pre/Post Workout 🔋 : I exercised about 4-5 days a week for about 90 minutes. Before my workouts I’d do some dynamic stretches, this reduces risk of injury and helps with mobility. Depending on the body part, I would include mobility stretches (you can find examples online). Post workout I did static stretches, massaged my muscles on a foam roller, then hit the sauna for about 10-20 mins. Rest days are 🔑. On my rest days I would do some yoga, swimming or simply….rest which is also okay.

Conclusion🏁: Your fitness journey is all about YOU and you only. Do not compare yourself to another persons progress. Remain consistent and patient. Exercise is not a hobby make it your life style. Make healthier food choices but don’t deprive yourself of the things you love. I was intimidated by the gym but soon I realized we’re all here to become our better selves. 9/10 no one is watching you unless they need the machine you’re using 😄. Remember to have fun and love every stage of your body as you go through this journey! ♥️♥️♥️

... Read moreLosing weight effectively involves understanding your body’s needs and what works for you. Firstly, recognizing the importance of calorie deficits will lead to gradual fat loss. Combining cardio and strength training is essential, as it helps build muscle while burning calories. Incorporating high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can also maximize fat burning during workouts. It’s crucial to plan your exercises around what keeps you motivated; for some, this means mixing in fun activities like dance or group classes. Establish a consistent schedule, ensuring you allot rest days that allow muscles to recover—this is key to avoiding burnout. Nutrition plays a major role in any weight-loss journey. Focus on whole foods, including vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, while limiting processed items. Meal prepping can simplify maintaining a healthy diet, ensuring you always have nutritious options available. Important too is being kind to yourself—progress will vary day to day, and self-love is vital throughout your fitness journey. Engaging with communities or finding workout partners can provide support and accountability. Lastly, keeping a journal of your workouts and nutrition can help track your progress and celebrate achievements along the way!
