test prep as a straight A student ✨✨
I used this method this week to study for organic chemistry, but it works for every class!! I start this process the week of my test.
🌛prepare any resources: make sure your calculator is charged, you have sharpened pencils and an eraser, and you have any print outs such as formula sheets or a periodic table you need for your test. It would be awful if you studied really hard and you forgot to bring something important!
🌛practice tests: I do every practice test and review every study guide my teacher gives me. If you have optional homework DO IT!! It’s important to practice questions that may be similar to what’s on your test. When you check your work, write out your corrections to see it visually and build muscle memory. If you get a question wrong mark it to review
🌛review sheet: I make review sheets for every single test. I include any information that may be on a test. Some of my teachers allow notes on a test and this is a good way to organize the important material. If my teacher doesn’t allow notes on a test I still write this out to review over any important info! Rewriting notes also helps me stay more focused while rereading notes.

To achieve academic excellence, understanding how to prepare effectively for tests is crucial. One method that has proven successful for many students is organizing and utilizing resources efficiently. Begin by gathering all necessary materials such as calculators, sharpened pencils, and important printouts like formula sheets and periodic tables. This ensures that you are well-prepared on the day of the test and won’t forget any essentials. Additionally, practice tests play a vital role in your study routine. Engage with every practice test available and take the time to review your teacher's study guides. Completing optional homework can significantly enhance your comprehension and familiarity with the material. Use corrections to visualize mistakes and build muscle memory for similar questions during exams. Creating review sheets is another effective technique to consolidate learning. Compile key information for the study material and organize it clearly. Even if notes are not allowed during the exam, writing them out helps in memorizing concepts and staying focused while revising. Lastly, consider allocating time to watch review videos for topics you're unsure about, particularly in challenging subjects like organic chemistry. This multi-faceted approach not only prepares you for upcoming tests but also reinforces your understanding, ultimately leading to better grades and enhanced confidence.

This is great advice! How long did it take for you to find a study method that works for you??? Quizlett is amazing and using the study rooms in college with the whiteboards so so helpful
