I got backlash for feeding this to my 2 year old daughter 🙁
The other night, my husband & kids were craving some crab. I just want to point out, they love real and imitation crab, and since we’re on a budget, I got some imitation crab. Everything came out delicious and I post daily food content of the dinners I make. I am in a facebook group where people share their dinners as well, and I post there pretty regularly. After I posted this specific dinner, 90% of the commenters absolutely made me feel like cr*p about this plate. A lot of them stated I’m feeding my family cheap seafood, & why not actually serve them wild caught fish. First of all, I never mentioned if this was fresh or frozen seafood, so how possibly are they getting that information from? 😭 and most of the people bashed me for not having a veggie on the plate here. I do agree I did need to cook veggies this night but I didn’t because it was a late rushed dinner since we had just came back from an indoor playground that we were at for 2 hours. Everyone was tired and hungry, and since everyone had been craving seafood, I didn’t put much thinking into the veggie part :( that is my fault, yes, but everyone got fed and full. The other part was the rice, they accused me of blue dying my rice with artificial food coloring. Let me just state here, the rice was colored with blue spirulina which is actually good for our bodies. I just wanted to add a little “sea” theme to our dinner since it was all seafood. But now, dang, I don’t know, people just want to dim your light sometimes by saying the harshest things ever. If you ever want to suggest some advice to someone about their cooking, just give them some ideas but don’t bash them cause you never know the whole story.

Mom of 7 and Grammy of 9 here. I think it looks great and I bet the kids had a blast eating it. Ignore those who blast you!
