However, data reported by CNN and corroborated by business experts indicate that no companies have moved their manufacturing entirely to the U.S. during this period. This reality sheds light on the complexities and obstacles American companies face in reshoring manufacturing. One major factor is the impact of tariffs and trade policies. While tariffs on imported goods were intended to incentivize domestic production, they have also introduced increased costs and uncertainties in supply chains. Companies have struggled to fully relocate due to high labor costs, infrastructure limitations, and the need for specialized supply networks that are more established overseas.
