Office Must-Haves & Grocery Haul for the Week

POV: Trying to get my life together…on a budget 😅😅

Here’s my recent dual-purpose grocery haul - things i stock at the office AND ingredients for quick meal preps at home!

💼 Office Must-Haves

If you’re like me; stuck at your desk all day and doesn’t go out for lunch, then this is your survival kit💀. These are some of the things i get for breakfast & lunch at work, on days that I don’t meal prep.

1. Low GI Bread - A week’s worth of breakfast! I usually eat 2 slices plain, but you can totally spread your favourite peanut butter or jam. Healthier swap from white bread, but too much bread ain’t good too.

2. Nuts - I love nuts. Although expensive, but i love how this is in individual packs already. Perfect as a mid-day snack.

3. Soya Milk (No Sugar) - Trying to reduce my sugar intake because too much chocolates recently 😅 Got this as a lunch drink instead.

4. Koka Multigrain Baked Noodles - Yes, i resort to cup noodles when i don’t meal prep. I know its unhealthy but i try to compensate it by getting a healthier version 😂 Available in 4 different flavours, but Mushroom Miso & Spicy Tomato is my fav.

5. Rokeby Milk & Smoothie - First try, and it’s not bad. I got the milk to go with my coffee concentrate & the milk smoothie as breakfast / lunch! High in protein, and tbh, does make me full.

6. Marigold Greek Yoghurt - I love yoghurt in vanilla bean flavour, and i just have to give this a try. Unfortunately, this is with sugar added, but it tastes good!

7. Nakd Breakfast Bar - Bought it on promo…not gonna lie but i don’t like it. The texture’s a little weird and it’s too sweet for me.

🏡 Grocery Haul for Meal-Prep & Home

Just some ingredients that I got recently for my quick meal preps & lazy dinners. I have leftover macaroni and a can of tuna, so i decided to go with macaroni salad for work lunches!

Macaroni Salad Ingredients:

1. Frozen mixed vegetables

2. Macaroni

3. Cherry Tomatoes

4. Mingle - Garlic & Herb All Natural Seasoning

5. Realemon Lemon Juice

6. Tuna (In Water)

7. Olive Oil

8. Black Pepper

🍴Other items I bought:

1. Tatsumoto Pork Sausage - Personal favourite. A freezer must-have to go with noodles

2. Yakult Gold - Another must-have in my fridge. I drink it daily after my dinner

3. Ibumie Mi Goreng - Honestly, out of nowhere, because i was craving for Indomie 😅

4. Greenday Apple Chips - Just for trying!

5. Tau Kwa - Cheap protein with long shelf life

6. Wawa Cabbage - Easy-to-cook veggies

7. Mini King Oyster Mushroom - Needed a break from enoki mushroom

8. Minestrone Soup - Childhood comfort food ❤️

Tip: Buy versatile ingredients that you can mix and match. Try to plan your meals in advanced — saves stress and money 😂

Keeping versatile office must-haves and meal-prep ingredients stocked not only saves time but also supports healthier eating habits. When selecting office snacks and meals, focusing on items with balanced nutrition and convenience is key. Low GI bread provides a steady release of energy, helping avoid mid-morning crashes. Individually packed nuts make for perfect mid-day snacks, combining protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied without the mess. For drinks, no sugar soya milk is an excellent alternative to sugary beverages, helping reduce overall sugar consumption—a smart choice especially after indulging in treats like chocolates. For those days when cooking isn’t feasible, healthier instant options like multigrain baked noodles can be lifesavers. Choosing varieties with whole grains and limited additives, such as mushroom miso and spicy tomato flavors, adds flavor and nutrition. Adding items like Rokeby protein milk smoothies and Greek yoghurt enriches your diet with protein and probiotics, supporting muscle health and digestive balance. Meal prepping with versatile ingredients like frozen mixed vegetables, cherry tomatoes, and tuna allows for flexibility and creativity in quick dishes—macaroni salad being a prime example. Incorporating all-natural seasonings, lemon juice, and olive oil boosts flavor without adding excessive calories or artificial ingredients. Keeping staples like pork sausages, cabbage, and king oyster mushrooms in the freezer or fridge offers options for quick warming meals or healthy stir-fries. Including probiotic-rich Yakult Gold daily after dinner promotes gut health, which is critical for overall well-being, especially during stressful periods. For quick comfort foods, hearty soups like minestrone offer warmth and nutrition reminiscent of childhood favorites. Planning and buying multipurpose grocery items not only prevents food waste but also reduces mealtime stress, helping you to stay organized and health-conscious throughout the week. By stocking your office and kitchen with these essentials, you create a sustainable routine that supports your lifestyle and wellness goals.
