What I read in November
I read 8 books in November
Boyfriend by Freida McFadden was read on my Kindle. As with all Freida books, excellent. Loved the twists. This was a very quick and easy read.
Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak was the physical book. It was good to read the physical book, not audio, because there were drawings to see that made things creepier. Overall, the book was memorable with some spooks and a big twist. Any book with kids saying odd or unexpected things usually turns out to be pretty creepy. Would recommend.
Gothikana by Runyx. Twas decent. Dark academia vibes with a bit of romance, nothing too wild or dark. Good for a moody read.
Several Patricia Cornwall books in the Scarpetta series... these weren't bad and weren't great. As with my previous recent reviews of books in this series, the first several books were excellent, and the newer ones aren't nearly as good.
November was a fantastic month for reading, as you can explore a mix of genres from thrillers to dark academia. Freida McFadden's 'Boyfriend' stands out with its engaging twists and quick pace, making it an easy recommendation for those looking for suspense. 'Hidden Pictures' by Jason Rekulak provides a chilling experience with its combination of illustrations and haunting storyline, guaranteed to keep readers on edge. For fans of dark academia, 'Gothikana' by Runyx provides a lighter take with its romantic elements, making it ideal for those in the mood for something atmospheric yet not overly dark. Additionally, Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series offers a mix of excitement with its earlier works proving stronger than recent releases. This selection showcases a variety of styles sure to satisfy diverse reading tastes and inspire your next literary adventure!
