Piercing tour + pain ratings!

Just to preface this - my pain tolerance is pretty high but I do not heal piercings well (it takes years for me to heal them)

I also don’t recommend getting/healing more than 3-4 piercings at the same time because this can prolong healing!!

Where I get my earrings from:

Some of my fav piercing shops 🪡

In Singapore 🇸🇬:

Rise Above Tattoo & Piercing

Mantra Collective

Gurkha Tattoo Family Est.1942. Tattoos and Piercings Singapore. (haven’t been before but I’ve heard pretty good reviews about them)

In Ireland (Dublin)🇮🇪:

The Ink Factory Tattoo & Piercing

PIERCED

Wildcat Ink Tattoo and Piercing (haven’t been before but I’ve also heard they’re pretty good)

... Read moreHaving had numerous ear piercings myself, I've learned firsthand how important it is to pace your piercings to avoid extended healing periods. From my experience, getting more than 3-4 piercings simultaneously can overwhelm your body’s healing ability, leading to complications and prolonged discomfort. When it comes to pain ratings, it varies significantly depending on the piercing location. For example, piercings like the helix typically rank around a 4/10 on the pain scale, which is quite manageable. More sensitive spots, such as the daith, tend to be more painful, rating around a 7/10 for some. I found that the conch piercing is moderately painful, around a 5-6/10, but the healing journey is just as crucial as the initial pain. Healing times can be surprisingly long, especially if you have a slower healing process like me. Some piercings took over a year to heal fully, with others still in progress after several months. Maintaining good aftercare practices like regular cleaning and avoiding unnecessary irritation can make a big difference. Choosing the right piercing shop is equally important for a safe and positive experience. Places like Rise Above Tattoo & Piercing and Mantra Collective in Singapore have consistently positive reviews and offer professional service. In Dublin, The Ink Factory Tattoo & Piercing and PIERCED are reputable choices that ensure proper hygiene and technique. Lastly, I highly recommend investing in quality earrings from trusted sources to prevent infections and promote better healing. Also, considering student discounts can make these premium services more affordable. This insight into pain ratings, healing times, and reliable shops can guide anyone looking to expand their piercing collection with confidence and care.
