Posting on TikTok has opened so many doors for me - but with that it has also made me experience some of my lowest of lows… and all I’ve ever wanted was to bring you along for the journey.
The highs, the lows, the trenches, the wins… how I even do any of this being a SAHM to 3?!
It’s easy to share the highlight reel, but there’s so much more that goes into building a content creator business. So from here on out, I’m going to bring you along the journey! what works, what doesn’t, the brand deals, the affiliate marketing, the lessons, the setbacks, and every milestone in between. Because it’s so much more than just clicking “Post”.
Thank you for being here from the beginning. 🥹🤍
Starting out as a content creator on TikTok while being a stay-at-home mom to three kids is no small feat. I’ve found that balancing the unpredictable demands of motherhood with consistently creating engaging content requires both creativity and discipline. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of setting realistic goals and embracing imperfection; not every post will be a viral hit, and that’s okay. Affiliate marketing and brand deals have been valuable opportunities, but they come with their own challenges, like maintaining authenticity and selecting partnerships that truly resonate with my audience. It’s crucial to disclose sponsored content transparently while still delivering genuine recommendations. Another surprising aspect is how much mental energy goes into managing social media algorithms, engagement strategies, and content planning beyond the camera. It’s a continuous learning process full of trial and error. Despite the lows and trenches, sharing my journey openly creates a sense of community and accountability. Connecting with fellow small content creators provides motivation and helpful insights. If you're thinking of starting your own TikTok channel, remember: it’s more than just posting videos. It’s about telling your story, connecting authentically, and evolving with your audience along the way. Ultimately, this journey has taught me resilience and the joy of celebrating every milestone, big or small, while juggling the beautiful chaos of family life.
