Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month 🩷🩵🩷🩵

... Read morePregnancy and infant loss is a deeply personal and emotional experience that affects many families worldwide. During Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, people come together to remember and honor those little lives that were lost too soon. The phrase "Not all siblings walk side by side, Sometimes one has wings to fly" poignantly captures the bittersweet reality that while these infants are no longer with us physically, their presence remains forever in our hearts. This month is a time to raise awareness about the grief and challenges faced by parents, siblings, and families experiencing such loss. It also provides a platform to share stories, offer support, and remind those grieving that they are not alone. Support networks, counseling, and remembrance events can be invaluable in the healing process. Families and communities often observe this month by lighting candles, participating in remembrance walks, or creating memory gardens. These acts of commemoration help keep the precious memories alive while fostering hope and resilience. Additionally, sharing personal experiences in support groups or online communities creates a safe space for expression and understanding. Recognizing the importance of mental health during such times, many healthcare providers emphasize compassionate care and resources to assist families through their grief journey. Understanding the physical and emotional impact of pregnancy and infant loss is crucial for offering appropriate support. By raising awareness, we can work toward preventing stigma and promoting empathy. It encourages communities to become more informed and sensitive to the needs of grieving families, making it easier for them to find comfort and connection. If you or someone you know is coping with pregnancy or infant loss, reaching out to specialized organizations or trusted support groups can provide comfort and guidance. Remember, honoring those who have wings to fly is a vital part of healing and love that transcends loss.

The white pumpkin I’ll always keep on my porch
I didn’t know what white pumpkins meant until after my miscarriage in 2018… now, every time I see one, I stop. It’s such a gentle reminder that love doesn’t end where life does. If you’ve experienced a loss like this, I hope you know your grief is valid, your love is real, and your story matters.

This needs to be said louder: you are a mom, even if your baby isn’t earthside. Your love, your grief, your memories… they’re real. They count. Too often, moms who’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss are left out of the conversation. But motherhood doesn’t only exist when other
