It’s Egg Retrieval Day!!
This was a hard day! I was in so much pain before the egg retrieval especially from the right ovary. We were scheduled to arrive at the surgery center at 7AM for my 8:30 procedure. The nurse struggled to find a vein for the IV. It took what felt like forever to get pain meds but when I did, WOW!! That was the best nap of my life. I didn’t feel anything and woke up with less ovarian pain and more lower abdominal cramps. When the anesthesia wore off it was pretty bad. End up with nausea, vomiting, BP dropped when I tried getting dress. Almost fainted. They pushed more IV fluids and let me rest before discharge. The drive home was tough too, I was grateful hubby bought a cordless heating pad for the ride home but I felt every bump in the road. He was the best support I could’ve asked for during this time. I’m so grateful for such a supportive and loving spouse. We find out tomorrow how many of the *37 eggs fertilize! Wish us luck!
