A REBBL Review You Need to Read!

🍓 Another find from H-E-B's protein aisle! I had such high hopes for this Strawberries & Creme REBBL drink because, well, who doesn't love strawberries? 🤷‍♀️ Sadly, the flavor missed the mark for me. The drink was quite thin, and the strawberry taste was a bit too artificial and bitter. 😖 The protein flavor was noticeable, but the bitterness overpowered everything. Sadly, it's a pass for me this time! 🙅‍♀️ 0/10. Maybe another flavor will win me over!

... Read moreMy recent taste test of the REBBL Strawberries & Creme protein drink was, to put it mildly, a huge disappointment. I really wanted to love this organic, plant-powered option, especially with its impressive 20g of protein. But the thin texture and that distinctly artificial, bitter strawberry flavor just didn't work for me, earning it a rare 0/10 in my book. It left me wondering if all REBBL protein drinks were like this, or if I just picked the wrong one. Determined not to give up on a brand that aligns with my healthy lifestyle and preference for plant-based options, I decided to embark on a mini-quest to explore other REBBL protein flavors. After all, they promise quality ingredients and substantial protein, so there had to be a winner, right? I headed back to H-E-B and picked up a couple more to see if my first experience was just a fluke. First up was the REBBL Vanilla Spice protein drink. What a difference! While it still had that characteristic plant protein undertone, it was much better integrated with the warm, inviting vanilla and subtle spice notes. The texture was creamier, less watery than the Strawberries & Creme, making it a much more enjoyable and comforting sip. This one definitely masked the protein flavor more effectively and proved that REBBL could deliver a satisfying taste experience. It felt like a true redemption for the brand, and it also packed 20g of protein, just like its strawberry counterpart. Next, I tried the REBBL Dark Chocolate protein flavor. This one truly blew me away! The rich, deep cocoa taste was absolutely fantastic and completely overshadowed any hint of plant protein. It was decadent, smooth, and genuinely felt like a treat rather than just a protein supplement. There was no artificiality or bitterness whatsoever. This flavor solidified my belief that REBBL does offer delicious organic, plant-powered options – you just have to find the right one for your palate. It also had the same great 20g of protein, making it an excellent post-workout or snack choice. My journey highlighted a common challenge with plant-based protein drinks: sometimes the flavorings struggle to mask the inherent taste of the protein source (often pea or brown rice protein). My bitter experience with the Strawberries & Creme likely stemmed from an attempt to create a fruit flavor that just didn't blend well with the plant protein, or perhaps used an artificial flavor that fell flat. When choosing protein drinks, especially plant-powered ones, I've learned to pay close attention to the ingredients list. Look for natural flavorings instead of vague 'artificial flavors' that can often lead to a chemical or bitter aftertaste. Also, consider the sweetness profile – sometimes a touch of natural sweetener like stevia or monk fruit can balance out a strong protein flavor without adding excessive sugar. Don't be afraid to read reviews from others who have tried different flavors within a brand, as taste can vary wildly from one option to another. So, while the REBBL Strawberries & Creme was a definite miss for me, my exploration proved that the brand has some fantastic organic, plant-powered protein drinks worth trying. It's all about experimenting and finding the flavor that truly delights your taste buds while still providing you with that valuable 20g of protein. Don't let one less-than-perfect experience deter you from the wealth of healthy options out there!
