จากโพสต์ของชูวิทย์ กมลวิสิทธิ์ ที่กล่าวถึงการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์พรรคส้มและการเมืองไทยโดยทั่วไป ผมนึกถึงสถานการณ์การเมืองที่ผู้คนมักแบ่งขั้วอย่างชัดเจน แต่หลายครั้งกลุ่มคนที่ตั้งคำถามหรือวิพากษ์ก็แค่ต้องการเห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงและพัฒนาที่แท้จริง ไม่ใช่การทุ่มไปในความเชื่อแบบสุดโต่ง การเมืองไทยได้ผ่านช่วงเวลาที่พรรคการเมืองใหญ่หลายพรรคเคยมีโอกาสแต่ทำผิดพลาดจนเสียความไว้วางใจให้กับประชาชน เช่นเดียวกับพรรคส้มที่ชูวิทย์กล่าวถึงว่ามีโอกาส 2 ครั้งแต่ยังทำผิดพลาดซ้ำซาก ความจริงในการเมืองที่พรรคไหนก็ไม่ควรได้สิทธิพิเศษในการยกเว้นจากการตรวจสอบ และผู้มีสิทธิ์เลือกตั้งก็ควรมีอิสระในการตัดสินใจตามความเชื่อและข้อมูลที่ตนเองพิจารณา ผมเองเคยเห็นว่าการเลือกตั้งหรือการสนับสนุนพรรคใดพรรคหนึ่งไม่ใช่เพียงเพราะกระแสหรือแรงสนับสนุนชั่วคราว แต่ควรมาจากความมั่นใจในการทำงานจริง ไม่ใช่แค่คำสัญญาหรือแนวคิดที่ดูดีบนกระดาษ การที่ชูวิทย์เตือนว่า "พรรคส้มมาเพราะกระแส ก็ต้องไปเพราะกระแส" ก็สะท้อนความเป็นจริงว่าไม่มีพรรคใดที่มั่นคงตลอดไปหากไม่ยึดมั่นต่อการปฏิบัติที่ดีจริง นอกจากนี้ ชูวิทย์ยังชี้ให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของ "ฟรีวิล" หรือเสรีภาพในการตัดสินใจของประชาชน ที่ไม่ควรกลายเป็นการเหมารวมว่าคนที่ไม่เห็นด้วยหรือไม่เลือกพรรคส้มเป็น "คนชอบทุจริต" เพราะนั่นคือประเด็นการเมืองที่ซับซ้อนและต้องการความหลากหลายของความคิดเห็นเพื่อพัฒนาประเทศในระบอบประชาธิปไตยจริงๆ จากประสบการณ์การติดตามการเมือง พบว่าการรับฟังความเห็นที่หลากหลายและวิพากษ์อย่างสร้างสรรค์ เป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นต่อการเติบโตของการเมืองไทย พรรคการเมืองจึงควรเปิดใจรับฟังและปรับปรุงตนเองมากกว่าการตอบโต้ด้วยอารมณ์หรือการกล่าวหากันไปมา สุดท้าย การเมืองซื่อๆ ตรงไปตรงมาและความเคารพในสิทธิเลือกตั้งของประชาชน คือพื้นฐานสำคัญที่เราควรยึดมั่น เพื่อร่วมสร้างประเทศที่เข้มแข็ง มั่นคง และยุติธรรมสำหรับทุกฝ่าย
