The PTT revealed the PTT ship Serifos carried 2 million barrels of oil out of the "Strait of Hormuz" during the temporary ceasefire to Thailand, April 21, after being stranded in Sharjah Harbor since March 7.
PTT Public Limited revealed that from the Middle East tensions affecting the main energy shipping route, the Strait of Hormuz,
The PTT raised crude oil management measures to deal with the risk that shipments could disrupt, with crude oil from the Middle East region being supplied in advance and loaded on board the 2 million-barrel Serifos, which has been stranded in the Sharjah Ports since March 7, 2026.
However, the PTT decided to source crude oil from other sources as an immediate replacement, using its international commercial potential and global network of partners to provide Thailand with continued energy, even when it had to purchase during a huge price rise.
In the wake of the temporary ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran on April 10, 2026, the tanker can leave after about a month of delay and is expected to arrive in Thailand on April 21, 2026.
