"Eknat" Yan, the whole system's new light rate is 30-40% lower, repeating that every user can get the first 200 units, 3 baht per unit, 400 or more users, not every unit of 5 baht, in effect around this June bill.
On April 28, 69, Eknat Ready, the Minister of Energy, mentioned the restructuring of electricity for households. The first 200 units will collect no more than 3 baht, 200-400 units per unit, 3.95 baht per unit, 401 units or more, with a new rate of more than 5 baht per unit, that in the past the electricity cost was more expensive, because we determined the FT value according to the price of imported gas. LNG gas will meet the market price when there is a problem in the Middle East, doubling the gas cost and making the electricity expensive because Thailand relies on gas power generation.
According to Eknat, the new power scheme will make the power bill 30-40% cheaper in the entire system. Confirm that this power restructure is only for public households, not for large-scale enterprises or industries, or for farmers, and not for people who use the T.O.U metered rate. Calculated, there are 23 million households. By calculating the first 200 units, everyone will get
When asked if the public is still confused that for 400 or more users, they have to pay 5 baht in total, Mr. Eknat said, insisting that it is not the current average of 3.88 baht, calculated like a step tax, which in restructuring, when used in excess of 200 units, can still benefit.
Mr Eknaut said that for households using the first 200 units, there will be a full benefit, and the cost will be reduced by 20%, and those using more than 200 units will receive the first 200 units, which will be reduced by 10%.
Mr. Eknat said that today it will bring the Energy Department's agenda, the National Agenda, into the Cabinet meeting, such as the restructuring of electricity bills and the promotion of solar rooftops, reducing the steps taken to contact multiple agencies, to take no more than 30 days, with a cheaper source of electricity funding than the cost of electricity, which is more expensive for the government to buy from solar farms.
There is also an agenda to promote the use of electric bicycles and electric mopeds made in Thailand, and the effective use of fire in government agencies, lights on the streets, including the reduction of permanent power, and a resolution to accelerate the negotiation of the cancellation of the electricity structure, which is an eternal slave contract, because it calculates the cost of electricity, and will reduce the dependence on gas to generate electricity by reducing expensive gas imports. If we help use solar energy instead, the cost of electricity will be reduced to everyone.
After the matter is brought to the Cabinet meeting, tomorrow (April 29) they will meet with the National Energy Policy Committee (NCPO) to bring the matter into public consideration, and it is expected to take effect in the June Bill cycle, with the public paying the new electricity rate at the end of June.
