Another book added to my DNF list

I've found that the decision to DNF (Did Not Finish) a book isn't one I take lightly. Sometimes, the writing style or plot just doesn't connect with me, or the content feels targeted toward a different age group. In this recent read, the pacing felt uneven and the characters didn't develop in a way that drew me in. When I see books making it onto the DNF list for others, it often helps me identify common elements that don't work for me personally—like cringe-worthy dialogue, overused tropes, or plots that seem too predictable. I recommend giving a new book a good 10-20% to see if it hooks you. If it doesn't, it’s okay to step away. No book is worth forcing through if it doesn’t bring enjoyment or insight. Listening to audiobook samples or previewing chapters helps me decide quicker nowadays. Ultimately, my DNF list helps me refine what I enjoy reading and keeps my reading time fulfilling.
