I wanted to take a moment to share my heart with you all. The Bible warns us not to be deceived in the end times, when people would become lovers of themselves. As my followers, I want you to know that I don’t get caught up in hot-button issues like politics. I once made a video encouraging everyone to pray and ask God for guidance on who to vote for. Why? Because who you vote for is your personal decision, not mine. I’m not here to judge or to give my opinion on the best candidate. I’m here to be a light.
I believe in the free will and freedom that God has given us. He doesn’t force anyone to be a Christian or to have a relationship with Him. If someone had told me I had to be a Christian, I probably would’ve rebelled. But I choose to be a Christian because I know who God truly is. When Christians in my life abused, talked about, or rejected me, God never did. That’s why I refuse to use my platform to tell people what laws to support or who to vote for.
God’s grace is sufficient for us all! I want to extend the same love and grace that He has shown me. I’ve seen too many leaders trying to divide us based on an imperfect political system and personal opinions, but God is perfect, and all power rests in His hands. Let’s stay focused on Jesus and on the positive things He’s doing in our lives.

I’ve found myself wrestling with how to keep my focus on what truly matters, especially when there's so much division and negativity around. That's why the words from Philippians 4:8 resonate so deeply with me – 'Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.' This isn't just a nice verse; it's a roadmap for peace in our daily lives.
I remember a time when I was really struggling with the constant political debates and the way people were treating each other online. It felt like I was being pulled into arguments that just drained my spirit. Then, I revisited this verse, and it hit me: I have a choice in what I allow to occupy my mind. Instead of dwelling on what's divisive, I started asking myself, “Is this true? Is this lovely? Is this virtuous?” It wasn't about ignoring reality, but about choosing where to anchor my thoughts.
Practically, what does this look like? For me, focusing on what is 'true' means rooting myself in God's Word, which is the ultimate truth, rather than getting swayed by every fleeting opinion. 'Noble' and 'right' often translate into practicing integrity and seeking justice with grace, not judgment. It means standing up for what's good, but always with love, just as Jesus taught us.
'Pure' and 'lovely' are about guarding my heart and mind. This might mean being mindful of the content I consume – whether it's social media feeds, news, or even conversations. If something consistently leaves me feeling angry or despairing, I’ve learned it’s okay to step back. Instead, I try to seek out stories of hope, acts of kindness, and connect with people who uplift me. It's about cultivating a beautiful inner garden, free from unnecessary weeds.
And 'admirable,' 'excellent,' or 'praiseworthy' – these words really push me to see the good in others and in the world, even when it’s hard. It’s about celebrating small victories, extending compassion, and recognizing God's hand in everyday blessings. When I choose to focus on these virtues, my perspective shifts dramatically. The anxiety that often creeps in from worldly concerns starts to fade, replaced by a profound peace that only God can provide.
It's not always easy, of course. We're human, and we'll stumble. But Philippians 4:8 serves as a constant gentle reminder to redirect my thoughts. It helps me to be a 'light,' as mentioned in the main article, by radiating positivity and grace, rather than adding to the world's divisions. It reinforces the idea that our faith is deeply personal and about our relationship with God, guiding our decisions and perspectives, especially when it comes to things like who to vote for or what laws to support. By focusing on what is virtuous, I find I’m better equipped to extend the same love and grace that God has shown me, helping me to stay focused on Jesus and the truly positive things happening in our lives.
