So my project for the day was to get these junk SPC uppers off n put these beefy JBA Offroad uppers on n now to get my queens truck to an alignment in the next day or so… Tacoma upper control arms suck to change out lol just saying!

Upgrading upper control arms on a Tacoma is definitely not for the faint-hearted. From personal experience, swapping out the stock or SPC uppers for beefier JBA Offroad parts dramatically improves suspension stability and durability, especially when paired with heavy-duty tires like the 35X12.50R20LT. However, expect some serious effort during removal and installation—the tight spaces and tricky bolts make it more difficult than anticipated. One helpful tip is to allocate enough time for the project, as rushing can lead to frustration and possible damage to components. Also, investing in quality hand tools such as impact wrenches and breaker bars will save time and muscle. Once installed, getting an alignment is crucial because upper control arm changes dramatically affect camber and caster angles. Without proper alignment, tire wear increases, and handling suffers, negating the benefits of the upgrade. Choosing JBA Offroad parts brings peace of mind due to their robust construction and reputation in the offroad community. Coupling these with tire brands like Michelin or General Grabber enhances off-road performance further. Overall, while the task is tough, the results — improved handling, durability, and off-road capability — are well worth the effort.
