One useful approach I recommend is the 'spoon theory,' a concept many use to explain the limited energy reserves people with chronic conditions have. Each activity costs a 'spoon,' and once you're out, you must rest to recharge. Accepting that rest is productive helps not only relieve guilt but also maximizes your ability to engage in meaningful tasks. Listening to your body can be challenging but crucial. Sometimes fatigue comes unexpectedly, and pushing through can worsen symptoms. I've found that scheduling regular rest periods, even brief ones, helps me maintain balance and manage energy throughout the day. Another tip is to communicate openly with friends, family, and colleagues about your needs. This acceptance fosters support and reduces misunderstandings regarding your energy levels and capabilities.
