Table of Trust
Pondering in Isaiah this chilly Friday
morning… Here in my mountain home, the air
is crisp and quiet.
It feels like the perfect setting to lean into His words in Isaiah 58:12–14 ..
a reminder that Sabbath rest is so much
more than slowing down.
It’s sacred.
It’s surrender.
When I choose rest —even when my mind says
I should be doing more ..my heart prays:
“𝐼 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑤𝑛. 𝐼 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡
𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑠.”
There’s something holy about this kind of
pause. It hushes the hurry and clears space
for His presence to speak.
This morning, my heart is drawn to this
image: 𝘼 𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩.
Even when the world rushes on, I choose
stillness —
and I find Him there.
And I want to take my seat🪑
The photo I’m sharing today reflects this
quiet longing of my heart—
a simple, candlelit table…
holding more than bread and wine.
It holds surrender.
It holds trust.
It holds the invitation to rest in Him.
