If you binge-watch regularly and rely on 4K streaming quality, the Premium plan might still make sense, but casual watchers could consider downgrading or exploring ad-supported options to reduce expenses. From personal experience, one way to offset these costs is to share the expense with family or close friends via Netflix's extra member options, now priced at $6.99 for ad-supported and $9.99 for ad-free. Splitting the bill has made the subscription more affordable and minimized the pinch of the price hike. It’s also worth keeping an eye on alternatives like other streaming platforms or reconsidering the number of subscriptions you maintain since the cumulative cost of multiple services can add up quickly. The rise in streaming costs across the board is pushing many of us to be more selective about what subscriptions we keep.
