Taking My Life Back: Learning to love ALL of me 🥰

The MAIN thing that keeps me pushing through my health journey is the way I view myself. OF COURSE I have things I don’t like about me especially my body.

For years I’ve tried to lose weight, but I always gave up on myself.

For the past few years, I’ve been trying hard to love myself, but all I could see is flaws mentally physically emotionally I just hated looking at myself, let alone being myself.

Then I realized, for me to succeed, and becoming the person I want to be, I have to love the person who I currently am, because I’m not going to want to fix something that I can’t tolerate, let alone hate.

Showing myself love and appreciation has helped push me through some of the toughest times in my journey.

I look at myself like I look at the people that I love. I want them to succeed in life, I want them to be the best versions of themselves because I love them and they’re amazing people and that’s what I have to do for me.

Find a little things to love yourself for example:

1. Your smile.

2. Your hair.

3. Your personality.

4. You’re awesome collection of squishmallows.

5. That little giggle you do whenever you hear that funny word.

Long story short, you’re not gonna want to help the things you can’t stand. Find something you at least like about yourself first and grow from there!

... Read moreIn today's society, the importance of self-love cannot be overstated. Many people struggle with self-acceptance, especially when faced with health challenges. Embracing your uniqueness is the first step towards genuine improvement. Self-love involves recognizing and appreciating both your strengths and weaknesses. It is essential to create a positive dialogue with yourself, replacing negative thoughts about your body with affirmations of what you appreciate about yourself. Engaging in self-care practices can significantly enhance your self-image. Try starting with simple activities like journaling, where you can express your thoughts and feelings, or practicing mindfulness and meditation to calm your mind. Physical activities - whether yoga, walking, or dancing - can also help in cultivating a loving relationship with your body. Regularly celebrating your achievements, no matter how small, will boost your motivation and reinforce your self-worth. Surrounding yourself with supportive and positive people is crucial in your journey towards self-acceptance. Share your feelings, and allow them to encourage and uplift you. Additionally, follow inspiring content online that resonates with your journey, which can serve as a constant reminder of the importance of loving yourself. Lastly, if you face setbacks, remember that it's part of the journey. Challenges are opportunities to grow stronger. Keep reminding yourself that self-love is a lifelong practice, and each step forward is a victory.
