My convention pictures from 2024 as an author

Wooow time has absolutely blown right on by. I have SO MANY MORE pictures but these were the ones I chose randomly, except for the first 3 where I couldn’t believe I SOLD OUT of my books!!

I seriously cannot state enough how much I love meeting readers. These are the people that I write for, and to meet them in person is an absolute honor. The idea that there are people out there, fanning out over my books, and are excited to meet me (like I was for Sarah Parker 😂👀) is such an accomplishment. You guys are what gives writing its magic, at least for me 🖤🙌

Meeting all these authors that I’ve worked with behind the scenes has been a gem, too.

I’m seriously always going to try and do at least one convention a year.

I also will always have my Special Editions with me at these conventions, which are exclusive to in person signings! I like making them fun and special like that (I also sell the remainders online one week after each convention so those who cannot go, can still get one of the books!)

I’m super pumped for February, where I’ll be in LA at Romantasy BookCon🙌🙌🙌🙌

The 2024 convention season is shaping up to be vibrant, especially with events like Romantasy BookCon in February. Not only can authors showcase their work but also engage in discussions, attend panels, and build relationships that transcend the digital space. For fans, these gatherings provide an opportunity to meet their favorite authors, obtain exclusive signed editions, and participate in Q&A sessions. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding such events create memorable experiences for both parties. It's exhilarating for authors to hear firsthand feedback and for readers to share their love for the stories that inspire them. In addition, many authors use conventions to launch new projects or promote special editions of their books, ensuring fans leave with unique merchandise. The sense of community fostered at these events is invaluable; it's where shared experiences and introductions to new genres take place, making conventions a highlight of any author's journey. For those who might miss out, many authors, like myself, plan to offer remaining copies of special editions online shortly after the event, striving to include everyone in our literary adventures. If you're an aspiring author, attending such conventions can also motivate and provide guidance, leading to long-lasting professional networks.
