จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวในการเริ่มต้นทำงาน ครั้งแรกที่เลือกงานนั้นสำคัญมาก เพราะมันคือจุดเริ่มต้นของการเรียนรู้และสร้างความเชี่ยวชาญที่ทำให้เราสามารถขยับขยายและเพิ่มมูลค่าในตัวเองได้เร็วกว่าแค่เลือกงานที่เงินเดือนสูงตั้งแต่ต้น ผมพบว่า การเลือกตำแหน่งงานที่ช่วยให้เราเข้าใจภาพรวมธุรกิจอย่างรวดเร็ว เช่น งานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการวิเคราะห์ธุรกิจ หรือ Business Analyst จะทำให้เรามีโอกาสได้ฝึกทักษะคิดวิเคราะห์และสร้าง solution ที่มีประโยชน์ต่อองค์กร การมีทักษะนี้จะเป็นทุนมนุษย์ที่มีค่ามาก นอกจากนี้ การเลือกหัวหน้างานก็ควรใส่ใจมากๆ เพราะหัวหน้าที่มีประสบการณ์ และเปิดโอกาสให้เราได้เรียนรู้ ได้ Challenge ตัวเอง จะทำให้เราเก่งขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว เห็นได้ชัดว่าการอยู่ใกล้คนเก่งนั้นช่วยให้เราเติบโตมากกว่าเดิม เรื่อง Job description ก็สำคัญไม่แพ้กัน งานที่มีขอบเขตกว้างเท่ากับโอกาสเติบโตและเพิ่มเงินเดือนกว้างขึ้นด้วย ฉะนั้นในช่วงแรก ๆ อย่ากังวลกับงานที่เยอะ เพราะหากเราสามารถแสดงศักยภาพผ่านการทำงานเกิน JD ได้ จะทำให้บริษัทเห็นคุณค่าของเราและมีโอกาส 'ง้อ' ให้นำเสนอค่าตอบแทนและตำแหน่งที่ดีขึ้น อีกหนึ่งประสบการณ์ที่อยากแชร์คือเรื่องของการอัพเงินเดือน แม้ไม่ได้เปลี่ยนงานบ่อย แต่ด้วยการพัฒนาทักษะอย่างต่อเนื่องและทำงานเกินขอบเขตที่ได้รับมอบหมาย ก็สามารถเพิ่มเงินเดือนต่อปีได้สูงถึง 40% เลยทีเดียว สุดท้ายอยากฝากว่าการเลือกงานแรกอย่าเน้นแค่เงินเดือน แต่ให้คำนึงถึง Growth หรือการพัฒนาทักษะและประสบการณ์ในระยะยาว เพราะมันจะเป็นบันไดสำคัญที่ทำให้เราก้าวหน้าในสายอาชีพได้เร็วขึ้นและมั่นคงกว่าในอนาคต
