Grateful for every second.

Someone said to me recently “your hard work is paying off”. I got the sentiment, and I was very touched, but, if I’m honest… while I do work hard and am grateful for everything I have, I really have learned to create a life where I enjoy the work process. And furthermore, my “pay off” is not monetary & it’s not professional feats…

.

- It is quiet moments with my husband and my dog. A life that when I was 16 I dreamed about but never thought could or would ever be possible for me.

- It’s my health and the health of the people around me (remembering what a gift it is)

- It is watching my friends getting married and starting new chapters with their significant others. And seeing them become mothers.

- It’s dinners with my family at a cozy restaurant in Ptown.

- It’s cocktails at Gifford House with the boys.

- It’s sharing a summer house with my college friends and laughing so hard we fall out of our chairs.

- It’s my Monday night classes shaking their heads but smiling.

- It’s impromptu dance parties & the way the sun pours into our living room.

- It’s supporting someone and celebrating with them as they come out and claim who they authentically are 🏳️‍🌈.

- It’s road trips and Saturday morning iced coffee.
