For example, adding diced green peppers and onions not only enhances the flavor but also boosts the nutrition, providing vitamins and fiber to your meal. When sautéing the veggies, I like to cook them until they are tender and slightly caramelized, as this adds a deeper sweetness to the sauce. Cooking the ground beef thoroughly and browning it well is key to developing a rich, meaty flavor. You can experiment with seasonings beyond just salt and pepper; try including dried oregano, basil, or a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for some heat. Simmering the sauce for 30 minutes to an hour allows the flavors to meld beautifully, but if you're short on time, even a shorter simmer improves the taste significantly. I recommend using a high-quality pasta sauce that suits your preference, whether it's a traditional marinara or one with added herbs and spices. When boiling the pasta, salt the water generously to season the noodles from within, and cook until just al dente, so they finish cooking when mixed with the sauce. For a personal touch, stirring the pasta into the meat sauce to simmer together for 10-15 minutes helps the noodles absorb the flavors, creating a comforting and cohesive dish. This recipe is perfect for family dinners or meal prep to enjoy leftovers that taste even better the next day. Plus, it's budget-friendly and can be easily doubled or halved depending on your needs. Give this recipe a try, and you might find it becoming a new staple in your cooking routine!
