The Moon 🌕

I got pictures of the moon tonight.

Tonight’s sky is dominated by a powerful Waning Gibbous moon, still glowing with roughly 97% illumination as it drifts just past its peak fullness. Technically, we are basking in the afterglow of the Wolf Moon (the first full moon of 2026) which reached its absolute peak yesterday morning. Because it is still so incredibly bright, it is currently outshining the Quadrantid meteor shower and lighting up the constellation Gemini, where it sits nearby bright Jupiter. If you step outside, you’ll see it commanding the eastern sky shortly after sunset, offering a brilliant, silvery start to the year that feels just as heavy and magical as a full moon. It’s a perfect moment to soak in that lingering "Wolf" energy (symbolizing protection and introspection) before the moon slowly begins to fade into the later phases of the month. 🌕🐺✨
