My weekend consisted of..

MRI for my wrist. I injured it in may thinking it would just go away, it hasn’t… so X-rays in September, just to be told it’s overworked and come back for MRI if it keeps hurting, and try a brace? Which I’ve done, but it feels worse with the brace after a while. Idk. So finally got the MRI done I’m hoping I’ll get answers soon, I can’t keep doing basically nothing with my wrist, my arms and wrist are getting weak.

Gym sock duo, these are some of my favorite gym socks, to wear mismatched or with their couples.

Then here’s some of the workouts I did this weekend.

Finally I donated blood for Christmas. I try to do it more often, but haven’t been so good about it lately, so I’m glad I got to give for the holidays at least hopefully it does some good.

... Read moreWow, what a weekend it's been! Dealing with a persistent wrist injury really does feel like a full-time 'job' sometimes. It's been months since May, and honestly, the waiting game for these MRI results after being told it was just 'overworked' is tough. You try everything – braces, rest – but sometimes it just feels like you're taking one step forward and two steps back. My arms and wrists are definitely feeling weaker from not being able to use them fully, and it's a real challenge to keep up with my regular routine. For anyone else going through similar chronic pain or injury recovery, I totally get the frustration. It's a mental and physical marathon, and sometimes just getting those answers, like 'It's MRI time For my wrist now just Waiting results', feels like a huge milestone. But even with the injury, I believe in finding joy and keeping up with what I can. That's where my trusty 'GYM OCK DUO' comes in! Seriously, finding the right gym socks is a game-changer. For me, it's about comfort, support, and a little bit of fun. Whether they're mismatched or perfectly paired, good socks make a difference when you're pushing through a workout. It's like having the right tools for the 'job' – your feet are going to be working hard, so why not give them the best? I love experimenting with different brands and styles to see what holds up best during intense sessions or even just a casual walk. Speaking of workouts, despite the wrist, I managed to get some good sessions in. I'm always looking to mix things up, and trying a 'new workout 160' always keeps things interesting. This weekend included some 'Weighted farmers carry' (maybe not the best for the wrist, but modified!) and focusing on lower body with 'Abductors 280 280'. It’s a constant 'job' to adjust and find exercises that don’t aggravate the injury but still challenge me. It’s part of the fitness journey, right? You learn to listen to your body and adapt. Pushing yourself in the gym, even when you have limitations, gives such a sense of accomplishment. It reminds me that even when things are tough, a 'NICE JOB DUDE' to yourself can go a long way. And finally, to cap off the weekend, I made it to 'vitalant Blood Donation 1337 Christmas Giving'. It's something I try to do regularly, but life gets busy. It felt really good to give back, especially around the holidays. It's a small 'job' we can all do that makes a massive impact. Knowing that you're helping someone in need is an incredible feeling and really puts things into perspective. It reminds me that even when I'm dealing with my own health challenges, there are always ways to contribute and make a difference. What's one 'job' you did this weekend that made you feel good?

my birth plan vs how I went down 💙
in my honest opinion I was terrified of giving child birth . I’m a first time mom. it’s a new experience and I’m young as well I never been hospitalized or had to stay the night over night at a hospital until I gave birth lol but everyone around me insisted that I create me a birthing plan so all

the truth about old wives tales 😌 #letschat I wasn’t a believer of old wives tales . but my pregnancy kind of brought me on board . I did a questionnaire for old wives tales to predict the gender of my baby and sure enough the results were accurate 😂💙 so once I found out they have old wives

It’s hard to give yourself credit for success. I constantly am asking myself if I am doing enough. Reflecting back on everything I have completed, not just this year but also in general, gives me peace of mind. As long as you are giving your best effort, even when your best isn’t always that great,

I was almost fired wearing my hair like this...🥺🥴
So back before I became a mom, my life consisted of working, school and living paying bills. The typical early twenties lifestyle, nothing special. I was a housekeeper at an upscale retirement facility and was basically told I would be fired if I didn't remove the blue color from my braids..
