What do you eat when you’re feeling sick?
Whenever I’m feeling a little sluggish, I always gravitate towards something light and less flavorful. It’s like my palette needs a cleansing!
Recently I got a little sick and my partner made me some chicken noodle soup. First time making it and I must say…10/10!! Minus the fact that he thought thyme and basil were the same thing 😂 a really easy meal in the instapot!

When feeling sick, it's essential to nourish your body with light and easily digestible foods. Traditional options include chicken noodle soup, which is not only comforting but also rich in nutrients that can aid recovery. Variations of this classic dish often include vegetables like carrots and celery, which provide extra vitamins. Moreover, herbal teas, like ginger or peppermint, can also soothe your stomach and enhance hydration. If you enjoy home-cooked meals, avoid overly spicy or rich foods that could upset your stomach further. Instead, opt for gentle options such as toast, plain rice, or steamed vegetables, which are easy on the system. For those looking to get creative, consider trying simple recipes that incorporate ingredients known for their healing properties, such as turmeric and garlic. They can add flavor while providing anti-inflammatory benefits. Such meals not only help in recovery but also bring comfort during tough times. Remember to hydrate well, as keeping fluids up can significantly expedite recovery.
