Remind Windows 11 23H2 users are running out of supply Nov 2025 🚨
Microsoft issued an announcement notifying users of Windows 11 version 23H2 that it is approaching the end-of-service phase on November 11, 2025 for affected models including Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations and Windows 11 SE.
.
After that deadline, the November 2025 security update will be the last; machines that continue to use version 23H2 will not receive another new update or security patch, which may increase the risk of cyber threats.
.
In order to keep the system safe and continuously functional, Windows Update will automatically start upgrading devices that are not under enterprise management to Windows 11 version 24H2. Users can choose a convenient time outside of working hours to restart and install them. This version 24H2 is the 2024 Annual Big Update that has already been released to participating devices.
.
For those who want to update before the queue, go into Settings > Windows Update and select "Get the latest update as soon as it is available." Or use the Installation Assistant / Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website to install it yourself as well.
.
To check the end-of-service of other versions of Windows, see the Windows Lifecycle FAQ page or search through the Lifecycle Policy to plan upgrades in time and use them safely.
