The answer, Something Big, is Copilot's big update. 🍋
After Microsoft dropped the puzzle of having Something Big for Windows 11 with a curious hint, it was time to rest your fingers, and many people began to speculate that it might be related to a new, hands-free command system. And now it's been revealed that the big update to Copilot on Windows 11 added the ability to talk to computers by voice and to have computers see the screen to understand what we do.
.
This new update makes Copilot a full personal assistant. Just say Hey Copilot, it can be ordered to perform tasks such as summarizing web pages, setting meetings, writing emails, or editing files in Word without typing itself. It also understands continuous commands and cross-apps like a personal secretary. Copilot Vision features allow AI to see what's on screen, such as tables in pictures, scanned documents, or entire PowerPoint files, to help analyze, edit, or create new content as we want.
.
Microsoft also added new capabilities like Copilot Connectors that connect to services such as OneDrive, Outlook, Gmail, or Google Drive, allowing us to easily access personal information, including Copilot Actions that manage local files such as rotating images or automatically erasing files. For PCs with NPU chips, it will process audio and images faster by running locally for data security.
.
This update marks a milestone for Windows, which is transitioning from an ordinary operating system to a personal assistant that really understands the user. Sound, sight, and AI will become the core of a new era of use. And this could be the beginning of an era when we will no longer have to type and order, because just say and let the PC do it is enough.
