So x86 isn't my son? ðĨđ
Microsoft officially released the 26H1 version of Windows 11, initially letting users on the Canary Channel try it out already in Build 28000, marking the first time Windows 11 had an H1 version out, but this round wasn't a big update that added new features like those seen on 24H2 or 25H2.
.
Because Microsoft confirmed that the 26H1 was just a platform-oriented update that restructured its internal systems to support newer chips like the Snapdragon X2 and NVIDIA N1X that would be used in the next generation of Copilot + PC family computers, using a new platform called Bromine instead of the Germanium used in previous versions.
.
Although this version has not changed clearly for casual users, it is a milestone that paved the way for Windows to better support newer chips and the ARM architecture; like Microsoft, it is preparing the stage for a new era of Windows that can run at full capacity on both PCs and mobile devices.
.
Microsoft continues to confirm its original guidelines that it will issue a major update only once a year, with the next version for casual users to be Windows 11 26H2, which is expected to be released in the second half of 2026. Various new feature segments will gradually be available for testing first in Dev and Beta Channel as before.
.
For Build 28000 of 26H1, there are major solutions, such as Live Captions, which have crashed on some devices, and an unopened Outlook login window problem, but there are still some points that the development team is working on, such as the accidentally scrolled Start menu, and sleep and Shutdown modes that malfunction on some devices.
.
Overall, the 26H1 version of Windows 11 may not have anything to get users excited about right now, but it's an important version in the background because it's like getting the system ready to support new hardware and technologies that will change the Windows experience in the next few years.
