No recurrence of lumbar disc herniation for over six months! Finally, I can breathe a sigh of relief.
My herniated disc hasn’t flared up for over half a year, so I wanted to share what helped me recover — combining habits familiar to Chinese people with advice from American friends, and it really worked for me. 🎉
I tried many methods that didn’t help 😮💨: acupuncture and massage in China, as well as short-term physical therapy recommended by doctors in the U.S., but my lower back pain kept coming back. Every morning when I got out of bed, my lower back felt stiff and sore. I could barely straighten up and needed a long time before I could move normally.
An American friend told me that herniated discs are very common in the U.S. They usually don’t recommend relying on painkillers at the beginning because of concerns about dependency. Instead, they focus more on daily care and long-term management, which gave me a new perspective. 💡
Later, a Chinese friend in the U.S. recommended Huayi lang Lishu Patch to me. After using it consistently, my back pain gradually improved. ✨ The patch is thick, has strong penetration, relieves pain quickly, and works especially well after a hot compress 🔥. I applied it directly to the painful area, and its strong adhesion meant it stayed in place even while sleeping.
At the same time, I also did two other things daily 📝:
First, following the advice of an American physical therapist, I spent more than 10 minutes each day doing lower back stretching exercises to relax the lumbar spine and relieve tightness and discomfort. 🧘
Second, I wore a lumbar support brace regularly, especially to deal with pain triggered by air conditioning and rainy weather. It helped keep my lower back warm and supported. 🧣
Now my lower back condition is stable. Occasionally I still feel mild soreness or tightness, but daily activities are no longer a problem. There’s no shortcut for dealing with a herniated disc — consistent care and finding the right methods are what make the difference. 💪
