LIMONCELLO JELL-O SHOTS 🍋🍋🍋
The new fun way to drink cocktails this summer is by turning them into jello shots and these limoncello ones are a must make 🍋 with only 10 minutes of prep time and 5 ingredients!
They are bright, citrusy and made right inside of lemon peels for a touch of Italy at home 💙🍋
What you’ll need (makes 24 shots)
5-6 large lemons
1 cup water
2 gelatin packets (unflavored- I get mine from Walmart)
1 cup limoncello
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from the lemons)
1/2 cup vodka
Drizzle of agave for sweetness
TIP: depending on how big your lemons are, you might need more lemons for the shells of the Jell-O shots- because the recipe here creates around 24 shots with the Jell-O shot mix, just buy extra lemons! The more the merrier!!!!🍋🍋
SAVE to make these!! My favorite Jell-O shots yet! 🍋

Making limoncello Jell-O shots is not only a fun way to enjoy a cocktail but also adds a creative touch to your summer gatherings. Using lemon peels as natural cups not only enhances the visual appeal but also infuses a subtle citrus aroma that complements the bright flavors of limoncello and fresh lemon juice. In my experience, choosing large, firm lemons is key to creating sturdy peels that hold the gelatin mixture well. Before scooping out the lemon pulp, gently roll the lemon on your countertop to soften it—this makes it easier to hollow out and helps release more juice for your recipe. Don't throw away the pulp; it's great for adding to smoothies or lemonade. When preparing the gelatin, mixing it well with the warm water ensures a smooth texture without lumps. Also, the combination of limoncello and vodka creates a balanced alcoholic kick with refreshing citrus notes, while the drizzle of agave syrup cuts the tartness just right. For an extra touch, I like to chill the lemon peel cups before filling them, which helps the gelatin set faster. These shots are perfect for summer parties, backyard BBQs, or any casual get-together where you want a unique and tasty treat. Plus, they’re customizable—consider adding fresh herbs like mint or basil to the gelatin mixture for an herbal twist. Overall, limoncello Jell-O shots inside lemon peels deliver a delightful Italian-inspired experience that’s both visually stunning and deliciously refreshing.
