Chicken BLT Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

8 slices cooked chicken breast

4 slices sourdough, ciabatta, or your favorite bread, toasted

1 large ripe tomato, sliced

4–6 large leaves of romaine or butter lettuce

4 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 avocado, sliced (optional)

1 fried egg (optional)

Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Chicken:

Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken breast slices until golden and crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side. Set aside.

Prepare the Spread:

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with Dijon mustard (if using) for added flavor. Spread this evenly on one side of each slice of toasted bread.

Assemble the Sandwich:

Start by layering lettuce leaves on two slices of bread. Add sliced tomatoes on top, season with a pinch of salt and black pepper, and follow with chicken breast slices. For extra flair, add avocado slices, a fried egg, or fresh basil leaves.

Top and Serve:

Place the remaining slices of bread on top to complete the sandwiches. Slice in half, secure with toothpicks if necessary, and serve immediately.
