T'Challa Deserves a Longer Tenure in the MCU
Chadwick Boseman Plays T'Challa, a.k.a. the Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman brought the character of T'Challa, a.k.a. the Black Panther, to life in the MCU. As the king and sworn protector of Wakanda, T'Challa fought hard for his people during the Infinity Saga. Unfortunately, Boseman's tragic death in 2020 led to Marvel's decision to kill the character off as well, not wanting to replace the iconic actor out of respect for his legacy. During the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, T'Challa's younger sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) takes his place as the Black Panther.
While Marvel's decision not to recast T'Challa was celebrated at the time, many fans have come to the decision that the character's legacy is just as important as Boseman's. Bringing T'Challa back is the best way to carry both of these legacies forth, especially if he isn't alone in being rebooted in a new MCU. Several names have already been put forth as the potential new Black Panther, including F1's Damson Idris. Hopefully, the Black Panther will rise again in honor of those who came before him.
