Oh my goodness, can you believe it? Just five more days until we're officially married! The feeling is absolutely surreal. It feels like just yesterday we were planning the proposal, and now the big day is almost here. My heart is a whirlwind of emotions – excitement, a sprinkle of nervousness, and an overwhelming sense of joy. This final '5 days to go' stretch is surprisingly busy, but in the best way possible. We're trying to savor every single moment, even the chaotic ones! Here’s a peek into what these last few days look like for us, and maybe some tips for anyone else on their own wedding countdown: First, the emotional rollercoaster is real. One minute I'm bubbling with excitement, picturing walking down the aisle, and the next I’m tearing up over a sentimental song. It’s okay to feel all of it! We've made sure to carve out some quiet time together each day, even if it's just 30 minutes, to reconnect and remind ourselves what this is all about. It's so easy to get caught up in the logistics, but remembering the 'why' makes all the difference. Then there are the last-minute checks. We’ve been confirming with all our vendors one final time – florists, caterers, photographers, and our amazing DJ. It’s reassuring to know everyone is on the same page. We also had our final dress and suit fittings, which made everything feel even more real! And speaking of real, I’m trying to pack my honeymoon bag. Who knew deciding what to wear for a week could be so challenging when your mind is elsewhere? One thing we've really focused on is delegating. Our incredible wedding party and family have been lifesavers. We've handed off small tasks, like picking up welcome bags or confirming transport, so we can focus on enjoying the final moments. Trust me, trying to do everything yourself at this stage is a recipe for stress. And finally, self-care is key. I’m trying to get enough sleep (easier said than done!), drink plenty of water, and squeeze in some calming activities. A long bath, listening to my favorite playlist, or just sitting quietly with a cup of tea helps immensely. We also had a quiet dinner out, just the two of us, to celebrate this amazing journey before all the wedding festivities begin. As these '5 days to go' fly by, I’m constantly reminded of how lucky we are. It’s not just about the wedding day itself, but the start of our forever.
