How I Lost 30Ibs in 6 months Naturally w/ PCOS

This is my first time posting my journey! I’ve struggled with irregular periods, bad acne, and weight fluctuation my whole life but wasn’t officially diagnosed with pcos until 2023 when I was 23.

Here’s some other tips that helped me:

• Eating in a calorie deficit! I know us pcos girlies always hear about what we SHOULDNT eat but really it’s about how much we are eating. I try to strive for no more than 1,700 calories but I do not restrict any food groups.

•Prioritizing protein & water! I try to get at least 20 grams of protein and 20 ounces of water in my body before any caffeine! This has helped my blood sugar and cortisol levels a lot!

•Getting 8 hours of sleep nightly!

•Lowering sugar intake and when I do intake sugar making sure it’s natural and not over processed.

... Read morePolycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) can bring several challenges, including weight gain and insulin resistance. Understanding how dietary and lifestyle changes can make a difference is crucial for effective management. It's essential to focus on a balanced diet rich in whole foods while maintaining a calorie deficit for weight loss success. In my experience, incorporating more protein while staying hydrated can stabilize blood sugar levels and combat fatigue. Aim for at least 20 grams of protein at breakfast to kickstart metabolism. Furthermore, keeping hydrated helps flush out toxins and supports digestion. Sleep is another significant factor that cannot be overlooked. Aiming for 7-8 hours of restful sleep can help balance hormones and reduce the stress associated with PCOS. Reducing processed sugars and opting for natural sources can lead to better metabolic health. I found that nutrient supplementation, including inositol for insulin sensitivity, magnesium for menstrual regulation, and vitamin D, offers considerable support to overall health. These elements complement dietary changes and can enhance weight loss efforts, fostering a balanced lifestyle. Exploring hashtags like #PCOSLifestyle and #WeightLossTips can provide further community support and resources. Embrace your journey; prioritize your well-being!

Finally another PCOS weight loss account following a similar diet and plan as me! Please continue to post. I love your idea from other posts to buy kids meals when you eat out. Why have I never thought of that? For the supplements you take, do you get inflammation as well with your PCOS? I made a post lately about the supplements I take for my PCOS as well and one of them cinnamon. It’s mixed in my Berberine, but it doesn’t have to be since you take Myo-Inositol (I wouldn’t recommend mixing both Berberine and Inositol). Ceylon Cinnamon improves insulin sensitivity, reduces inflammation, and helps with hormone regulation. It’s important to invest in Ceylon specifically because it is “true” cinnamon.

Ladies please remember, what worked for one person may not work for another. Just because her body is lacking in areas doesn’t mean yours will lack in the same way. Really do your research, talk with your doctors, get to know your body so that you know what you need. ❤️
