It’s that universal feeling of 'ugh, *really*?' when things just don’t go your way, or expectations crash and burn. Sometimes disappointment hits you hard, and it's not always about big, dramatic events. It can be those small, everyday things that accumulate: a plan falling through, a task not going as smoothly as you hoped, or even just feeling misunderstood. For instance, I was so hyped about trying out a new recipe last night, thinking it would be a culinary masterpiece, and it turned out... well, let's just say it was edible, but far from Instagram-worthy. That immediate feeling of 'im disappointed' washed over me, just like when my favourite anime character faces an unexpected setback. It’s like my inner self just slumped over, right there, mirroring our grumpy little friend. It's easy to let these feelings fester, to replay the scenario in your head, and fall into a rabbit hole of negativity. But I've been trying to remind myself that it's okay to feel sad, but it's not bad to feel it. Acknowledging the disappointment is the first step.
