Weekly Recap Photographer Edition

The photographer burn out is so real this time of year but the amazing clients I get to meet just make my job so much easier. Every day I get to hear so many different and amazing stories about all different walks of life. I build life long relationships with my clients and I get to watch them grow through all the milestones life has to offer. I am privileged to know these people and capturing these moments for them is an honor always!

... Read moreHey everyone! 👋 You know, as a photographer, I spend my days capturing incredible moments – the joy of a family on the grass, a baby's pure wonder, a woman's calm strength. Seeing all these slices of life makes you reflect, doesn't it? Lately, I've been thinking a lot about 'life quotes' and how they perfectly encapsulate so many of the emotions and lessons I witness behind the camera. They're like little anchors of wisdom that help us navigate our own journeys. Sometimes, a simple quote can hit differently after a busy week of shoots. For instance, when I see a smiling woman wearing glasses holding her young boys, I often think of quotes about family love and finding joy in the everyday. It's not just about the perfect pose; it's about the connection, the unspoken bond, and the beautiful chaos that makes life so rich. A quote like, 'The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories,' feels so real in those moments. Then there are the quotes about resilience. This time of year, photographer burnout is a real thing, and those days really test your spirit. But just like seeing a young boy with light hair smiling broadly despite whatever might be going on around him, it reminds me of quotes that speak to perseverance. 'Fall seven times, stand up eight' isn't just a proverb; it's a feeling you carry when you push through the tough days to get to the rewarding ones. I also love quotes that speak to the wonder of new beginnings. Capturing a baby boy with light hair looking upwards with an open mouth, appearing amazed, perfectly illustrates the magic of discovery. It makes me think of lines like, 'Every day is a second chance,' or 'The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.' These moments inspire me to look at the world with fresh eyes, just like that little one. And for all of us women, whether we're juggling work, family, or just navigating our personal paths, quotes about strength and self-love resonate deeply. When I photograph a woman with long dark hair and light eyes, capturing her unique essence, it brings to mind quotes that empower. 'She believed she could, so she did,' or 'The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.' These aren't just words; they're affirmations that we all need to hear. So, what are some of my go-to English life quotes? I love anything that encourages presence and gratitude. 'Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.' This one helps me stay grounded when I'm rushing from one shoot to the next. Another favorite is, 'Be the change that you wish to see in the world,' because it reminds me that even small actions, like capturing someone's joy, can make a difference. I truly believe that these little nuggets of wisdom, whether from ancient philosophers or modern thinkers, can light up our path. They help us understand ourselves, find motivation, and appreciate the beautiful, messy journey we're all on. So next time you're reflecting on life's moments, remember there's probably a perfect quote out there waiting to speak to your heart. What are your favorite life quotes that keep you going?
