A monumental day! 🚀
Today was not an April Fool’s joke. This was a monumental space launch. NASA Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover (first person of color on a lunar mission), Mission Specialist Christina Koch (first woman on a lunar mission), and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen (first Canadian on a lunar mission) just launched into space on the Artemis 2, and will orbit the moon for the first time since the last lunar mission in December 1972 with Apollo 17. They also will be traveling farther into space than all previous missions; a new distance record into space. You can bet I’ll be keeping an eye on this 10-day mission. This is so fascinating to me! 🤩 I got chills and goosebumps watching the launch. 🥲🥹 I can’t wait to get back to Florida to see another launch in-person.
